Design for Manufacturing (DFM) is a critical approach that involves designing products with manufacturing efficiency in mind. At Roland Plastics, we incorporate DFM principles to ensure that parts are functional, high-performing, cost-effective, and easy to produce. By collaborating closely with our clients from the initial concept stage through to the final product, we identify potential manufacturing challenges early and optimise designs for the best possible outcomes.

Roland Plastics offers a wide range of high-performance plastics, including flame-retardant, high-temperature resistant, food-grade, BPA-free, and recyclable materials. We select the appropriate material based on the specific requirements of each application, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.

At Roland Plastics, we implement comprehensive testing and quality control processes to meet and exceed industry standards for safety, performance, and durability. Over-moulded cabling involves encapsulating cables and connectors in a protective plastic layer, providing enhanced durability, protection against environmental factors, and improved electrical performance. Over-moulded cables also offer additional benefits such as strain relief, water resistance, and resistance to extreme temperatures, making them ideal for use in demanding conditions.

Roland Plastics is committed to sustainability and environmental responsibility. We have heavily invested in solar panels at our facility in Wickham Market, and offer recyclable materials and implement efficient manufacturing processes that minimise waste and reduce energy consumption.  Our focus on sustainability ensures that we provide eco-friendly solutions without compromising on quality or performance.
