About Roland Plastics

We were originally known as Girdlestone Mouldings and located in Woodbridge where the company was part of the Girdlestone Group, before a transfer of ownership resulted in the company being renamed Roland Plastics. After the sale the business relocated to Wickham Market, into a state of the art manufacturing plant, and has continued to operate from this site for some years now. A further change of ownership five years ago resulted in the sale of the business to the MVOC organisation based in North Carolina in the United States. MVOC are hugely experienced in the plastic mouldings business, the partners having run the largest moulding operation in the States with twelve plants throughout the country. Roland was identified as an opportunity for growth into Europe, and we have seen a significant level of investment in new buildings and plant since the transfer.

Roland Plastics remains a key supplier of moulded plastic components to many well known names, in addition to having our own flooring products Portapath and Tecnotile. We supply national organisations such as the MoD and Highways Agency as well as many premium brand names both in the UK and abroad, including the US, Mexico, Malaysia, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Faroe Islands and many EEC countries.

Having built the business on our hard-earned reputation for quality products delivered on time, we intend to continue to drive the business forward through this philosophy. No job is too small. If it is within our capacity we will submit a tender, and can include for in-house manufactured tooling as well.

In addition to our moulding capability we find that we are increasingly being asked to supply completed assemblies, and our skilled operators are familiar and very capable of assembling many diverse products. This facility allows you the ability to buy your assemblies direct from the moulder, ensuring a quality finished assembly shipped direct to your plant.
